Dr. Garfield
Dr. Garfield is a board-certified optometric physician. He completed his Bachelor of Science at Temple University with a major in kinesiology before receiving his doctoral degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. A member of the Academic Honor Society, he obtained clinical training at the Bay Pines Veterans Medical Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL and at John F. Kennedy Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Garfield advanced his clinical knowledge by completing a Residency in Primary Eye Care at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia.
Dr.Garfield has been in private practice on the Treasure Coast since 1985. He has extensive clinical experience in the treatment of eye disease, contact lenses and refractive care.
Dr. Garfield is one of six doctors of optometry in his immediate family which includes himself, his wife, two brothers and two sisters-in-law. His interests include cycling, running and music. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association.
